LOLER Inspection regulations cover a wide range of lifting appliances and accessories such as cranes of all types, fork-lift trucks, chain hoist, mobile elevating work platforms, goods lift, shackles, eye bolts, slings, etc.

LOLER Inspection or Thorough Examination must be completed on all lifting equipment by a competent person to comply with LOLER Regulation 9.

The LOLER definition of lifting equipment includes any equipment used at work for lifting or lowering loads, including attachments used for anchoring, fixing, or supporting it.
